What is indoor air quality (IAQ)?
Indoor air quality describes how the air inside a building or structure affects a person's health, comfort, and ability to work. It's a huge concern for businesses, employees, and rental managers because indoor air can have a huge impact on employee well-being and productivity. Several studies by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have considered indoor air pollution to be a major problem. Although most commercial buildings do not have serious problems, even the best-maintained buildings can experience episodes of poor indoor air. According to the EPA, poor indoor air quality can lead to productivity problems and increased employee absences. All of these health consequences are estimated to cost the government billions of dollars each year due to medical treatment and lost productivity.
