Are LGBTQ employees safe from discrimination?
In the workplace, lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgender people are Discrimination against and be evident in organisations even at the top management. Employers should be worried about a person's qualifications and ability to take on a job or perform particular things.
Similar to the bulk of job discrimination issues, a person's sexual orientation cannot be used to discriminate against an employee. Whether a person is a lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender person, their sexual orientation has no effect on their ability or inability to perform their job duties.
It has been observed that a number of organisations, especially the police and fire services, are socially conservative and are hesitant to accept individuals who, in their judgment, are of a different sexual orientation. People who speak against prejudice against Lgbt individuals are avoided at work and feel unsafe from others. Sexual assault is a problem for LGBT individuals in the workplace.
